El Porto Surf Shop is the hidden gem of the South Bay and is the closest surf shop to LAX since 1996. It's very popular among both travelers and locals and serves as a one stop shop. The everything-friendly place has all the surfing essentials you need, and comes with a once in a surf shop experience. Always happy to serve everyone, including dogs and cannabis/mushroom friendlys. Enjoy a calm and comfortable setting that includes a free live stream of the waves right down the street. They are open everyday 6:30AM to 6:30PM religiously supporting the Dawn Patrollers and offering a free cup of coffee when you bring a mug with their sticker on it. El Porto Surf Shop rents out various surfboards including foamys, hard tops, and fiberglass ranging in sizes from 5ft to 9+ ft.
